  If your DieHard jump starter isn't jump starting your car, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the Jump Start On/Off switch is turned ON. Next, check the battery clips for a good connection to the battery and frame, ensuring the connection points are clean; rocking the clips back and forth may improve the connection. Also, the jump starter battery may not be charged, so check its charge status by pressing the button on the front of the jump starter. Finally, the vehicle’s battery might be defective, in which case you should have it checked.

  If your DieHard jump starter isn't powering your 12V device, first ensure that the 12V device is turned on. Also, the jump starter battery may not be charged, so check the battery charge status by pressing the button on the front of the jump starter. Finally, the 12V device might draw more than 15A or have a short circuit. In this case, disconnect the 12V device; the internal breaker will automatically reset after a minute or two. Then, try the 12V device again; if it happens again, replace the 12V device.
