The cylinder vacuum cleaner has the following filters:
- Protective motor filter (Fig. 29/1)
If the laminar filter is defective, it prevents larger
particles from destroying the motor.
Replace: every 6 months
- Hygienic blow-out filter (Fig. 29/2)
Filters out the fine particles from the blow-out air.
Replace: every 6 months
The filters can become blocked after some time and can
thereby reduce the suction power. It is therefore important
that the abovementioned intervals are adhered to.
If you determine that a filter is damaged then replace it
immediately.
5.1 Replacing the
protective motor filter
1. Switch the appliance off and observe the instructions
under ZChapter 3.2, "Switching off and retracting the
power cable".
2. Remove the dust bag holder together with the dust bag,
ZChapter 3.4, "Changing the dust bag", Point 1-2.
3. Pull the holder with the protective motor filter (Fig. 30/1)
up and out of the locking rails (Fig. 30/2).
4. Remove the protective motor filter from the holder.
5. Insert the new protective motor filter (Fig. 31/1) into the
holder (Fig. 31/2) and push the holder back into the
locking rails again.
6. Reinsert the dust bag holder together with the dust bag
and close the dust chamber cover.
NOTE:
If it is only slightly dirty, it can also suffice to knock the
filters over a dustbin. However, we recommend you
replace the filter regularly.
