Problem Cause Remedy
The grinder is
humming but
not grinding.
• The spout is
clogged.
 Change the grinding degree
se ng to the “coarsest grinding
degree” and start the grinding
process. The grinder will clear
itself. Then, during the opera on,
set the grinding degree to the
desired se ng.
 Pump the grinder’s clamping lever
several  mes to clear the clog.
• The grinding de-
gree is too fi ne.
 Change the grinding degree
se ng to the “coarsest grinding
degree” and start the grinding
process. The grinder will clear
itself. Then, during the opera on,
set the grinding degree to the
desired se ng. Should the prob-
lem persist, contact your supplier
(see “Maintenance and service”
sec on).
• A foreign object
is in the grinding
mechanism.
 Clean the grinding mechanism
as described in the “Cleaning”
sec on and remove the foreign
object at the same  me. If the for-
eign object cannot be removed,
contact your supplier
(see “Maintenance and service”
sec on).
