remov e the oil pump, unscrew four bolts;
pr ess th e bearing out of the front body, using two special open-
ings;
un co tter and tak e out the cap, spring, and reducing va lye ball;
remo ve the connect ing rods and screw off two plugs at the ends
oi cr ank pins;

take oul lhe crankshaft gl and, oil s lmger and di s tance was h er:
extract the loc king rin g;
press out the outer race, together w ith rollers of c rankshaft bear-
ing, from the c rankc ase , using a ma ndrel nP-1260.
Clean th e c rank s haft catc hers to re move the dirt that ha s col -
lected in th em, thoroughly wash a nd exa min e a ll the component

Re- install the c rank shaft in th e cra nkcase in the following order:
re-assemb le th e cr < •n ksh af t, for which purpo se sc rew up two
plugs, and centre punch lhem, re-assemble th e co nn ect ing rods, e n-
s urin g thal the connect ing rods ar e prop er ly instflil ed on the crank-
s haft (refer lo lhe Seclion "Remova l and l nshlllation of th e Con-
necti ng Rod");
press the inn er r ace of the roller bearing on the r ea r journal;
re- assemb le th e reducing va lve;
