3. Detachtheplugcapandremovethesparkplug
with the box wrench.

4. The appropriate clearance between the two
electrodesofthesparkplugis0.7mm(0.028″)to0.8
(0.031″)mm.Adjusttheclearanceifitistoowideortoo
narrow.
Clean thoroughly or replace the spark plug if it has
accumulated carbon or is contaminated.
For replacement, use NGK CMR6H.

5. Install the spark plug and attach the plug cap, and
thenattachtheplugcover.
Greasing the gear case
Interval for relling:Every30operatinghours
Usable grease:ShellAlvania2orequivalent
Removetheboltonthegearcaseandrellwithgrease.

Cleaning the fuel lter
CAUTION: Be sure there is no damage to
the fuel tank. If there is any damage to the fuel tank,
askyourauthorizedservicecenterimmediatelyfor
repairs.
NOTICE: Clean the fuel lter regularly. A clogged
ordamagedfuelltercancauseinsufcientfuelsup-
ply,whichleadstodifcultystartingupandreduced
enginepower.Replacethefuellteratleastquarterly
to ensure satisfactory fuel supply to the carburetor.
Interval for cleaning and inspection:Monthly(every
50 operating hours)
Tocleanthefuellter,performthefollowingprocedures.

1. Removethefueltankcapandemptythefueltank.
2. Check the tank inside for any foreign materials. If
there are any foreign materials, wipe them out.
3. Pulloutthefuellterusingawirethroughthefuel
llingport.
4. Ifthefuelltersurfaceiscontaminated,cleanit
with gasoline.
NOTICE: Follow the method specied by each
local authority for disposing of the gasoline used
for cleaning the fuel lter.
NOTICE: Replace the fuel lter if it is exces-
sively contaminated.
5. Afterchecking,cleaningorreplacingthefuellter,
insert it into the fuel pipe and attach it with the hose
clamp.Resetthefuellterinthefueltankandtighten
thefueltankcaprmly.
