Replacing the fuel pipe
Interval for cleaning and inspection:Daily(every10
operating hours)
Replacement:Annually(every200operatinghours)
Toavoidfuelleaks,whichcanleadtoare,replace
thefuelpipeeveryyearregardlessoftheoperating
frequency. If any leake are found, replace the fuel pipe
immediately.

Inspecting the bolts, nuts, screws
• Retightenloosebolts,nuts,etc.
• Checkforfuelandoilleaks.
• Replacedamagedpartswithnewonesforsafety
operation.
Cleaning the parts
• Alwayskeeptheengineclean.
• Keepthecylindernsfreeofdustordirt.Dustor
dirtonthensmaycausepistonseizure.
Replacing the gaskets and packings
Replace gaskets and packings when the engine is
disassembled.
Replacing the nylon cord
WARNING: Always remove the cutting head
when replacing the nylon cord. Stop the engine
before removing the cutting tool.
WARNING: For the bump and feed type of
nylon cutting head, be sure that the cover of the
nylon cutting head is secured to the housing
properly as described below. Failure to properly
securethecovermaycausethenyloncuttingheadto
yapart,resultinginaseriouspersonalinjury.
Themethodofreplacingthenyloncordvariesdepend-
ing on the cutting tool type. Replace the nylon cord if
the cord is not feeding any more.
For manual feeding type cutting tools, feed the cord by
passing the cord from another eyelet.
