Caution – risk of damage
The manufacturer assumes no liability for non-observance of this
operating manual, in particular for any consequential damage, es-
pecially consequential damage caused by failure of the air condi-
tioner.
8.2 Before start-up
Inspection before starting up
Before you switch on the roof air conditioner, observe the following:
z Check whether the supply voltage and frequency correspond to the val-
ues specified in the previous section.
z Ensure both the air intake opening and the air nozzles are free. All venti-
lation grilles must always be kept free to ensure the air conditioner is able
to operate at maximum capacity.

Warning – danger of injury
Do not insert your fingers or objects into the air distribution nozzles
or the intake grille.
Insert the batteries into the remote control
Insert the supplied batteries into the battery compartment at the back of the
remote control before putting the device into service for the first time:
Apply slight pressure to push the cover of the battery compartment in the
direction of the arrow displayed on the cover.
Insert the batteries in the remote control as indicated in the battery com-
partment.
Close the cover of the battery compartment.
Note
Discharged batteries are hazardous waste and must be disposed
of in battery receivers – ask your specialist dealer.
Only those power packs and lithium batteries which have been
completely discharged or secured against short circuits may be
thrown into the battery receivers.
