Wireless Remote Control/Receiver & Wind Sensor Operation
11 Operation
This section describes how to operate and adjust the
awning using the remote control.
11.1 Using the Remote Control

Button Function

Up Retracts the awning when the button is
pressed and held.

Stop For 9100 awnings only: Stops awning
movement if programmed for One
Touch mode. See “Pairing the 9100
Remote Control” on page10.
Clears memory. See “Clearing the Wind
Sensor Memory” on page12.

Down Extends the awning when the button is
pressed and held.

LED Turns the LED light(s) on and off.

LED - Dims the LED light(s).

LED + Brightens the LED light(s).
1. To extend the awning, press the Down button until
the awning is fully deployed position.
2. To stop deploying the awning, release the Down
button.
3. To adjust the awning extension, press the Up or
Down button to jog back to the preferred deployed
position.
12 Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause
Recommended
Solution
The remote
control is unable
to pair the remote
control or wind
sensor.
The receiver
has reset before
initiating the next
step in the pairing
process.
Restart the pairing
process and
complete each
step within four
seconds of the
previous step.
The wind sensor
keeps beeping;
the awning
automatically
retracts every 30
minutes.
The wind sensor
battery may be
low. (The receiver
will retract the
awning every 30
minutes to protect
the awning.)
Replace the wind
sensor battery.
The wind sensor
does not function.
The wind sensor
is not attached to
the wind sensor
base.
Locate the wind
sensor and
reattach it to the
wind sensor base.
The awning
automatically
retracts every 60
minutes.
The wind sensor is
out of place.
(The receiver will
retract the awning
every 60 minutes
to protect the
awning.)
Locate the wind
sensor and put it
back in place.
For 9100 awnings
only:
The awning motor
continues to
retract when the
awning is already
retracted.
The wind sensor is
activated, but the
remote control is
not programmed
for One Touch
mode.
Program the
remote control for
One Touch mode
using steps 4-8 in
“Pairing the 9100
Remote Control”
on page10.
The LED lights do
not illuminate.
For a receiver
installation on an
existing awning
with LEDs, the
existing LED
switch was not
disconnected.
Connect the
LED switch. See
“Installing the
Receiver” on
page7.
The 3 A auto-reset
fuse has blown to
protect the LED
strip from a short-
or over- current
condition.
1. Disconnect
the power
using the On/
Off switch.
2. Determine and
fix the cause
of the blown
fuse.
3. Turn the unit
on using
the On/Off
switch.
