Before turning the laser equipment on, check and ensure that:
• The laser system has been installed and guarded to Class 1 laser
safety standards (EN60825), see “HEALTH & SAFETY” on page 1-1
• Only authorised personnel should be present within the operating area
of the laser marking system.
For IP-rated print heads with compressed air cooling only, check and
ensure that:
• The compressed air supplied to the printhead does not exceed a
pressure of 4 bar.
• Both air outlets are kept clear.
• Air inlet and outlet are fitted correctly.
Before starting any production
• Check the laser marking system for any visible damage. Ensure that it
is only operated in “best possible” condition Discovered defects must
be eliminated immediately.
• Check and ensure that material or other objects not required for the
production are removed from the operating area of the laser marking
system.
• Check and ensure the flawless functioning of all safety devices.
All valid rules and laws for accident prevention are to be observed.
