z Removal
1) Fuel supply pipe and injection unit
pipe attached to metering unit
should be removed before
removing 3 pieces of M8 bolt.
z Installation
1) Place metering unit on the bracket
and fix it together by screwing 3
pieces of M8 bolt.
- M8 bolt assembling torque = 2.2 kgf•m
- Fuel pipe union nut torque = 2 kgf•m
WARNING : When Working on the “Air Extraction”
The air in the fuel supply line should be removed by activating forced
regeneration after installing HC (diesel) supply device.
3.6.6. HC dosing injection unit, IU
HC dosing injection unit injects HC that is
supplied by HC supply device to initiate
DPF regeneration, and the unit is placed
on the exhaust pipe.
z Removal
1) Remove Injection unit pipe union
nut before removing the bracket
attached on the exhaust pipe.
2) Remove cooling hose connected to injection unit.
z Installation and replacement
Assemble the injection unit to the exhaust pipe, suing M8 bolts, and assemble the
fuel pipe unit nuts. Assemble the cooling pipe connection parts by identifying the
in/out direction of the injection unit.
WARNING : Air deflation
After replacing the HC (diesel) supply unit, air in the fuel line should be
expelled through forced regeneration.
