3.6.7. EGR system
1) Introduction
z EGR performs recirculation of a portion of exhaust gas to reduce the generation
of NOx.
z Exhaust gas released from the back of exhaust manifold and flows back into the
engine with cooled air intake from the inter cooler.
2) Feature
z EGR cooler is installed to lower exhaust gas temperature. (Cooled EGR System)
z Electric EGR valve with motor is installed to control EGR rate.
