Valve spring inclination
Use a surface plate and a square to
measure the valve spring inclination.
If the measured value exceeds the
specified limit, the valve spring must
be replaced.

Use a spring tester to measure the
valve spring tension if the measured
value is less than the specified limit,
the valve spring must be replaced.
5) Assembling cylinder head
Clean the cylinder head thoroughly.
Replace the valve stem seal with new
one, and by means of a special tool,
press the stem seal into the valve
guide of cylinder head.
Coat engine oil to valve stem and
valve guide and assemble the valve.
However, be careful for the damage
of valve stem seal.
Install the lower seat of valve spring
to the valve guide of cylinder head.
After putting inner, outer springs,
install the spring upper seat on it.
Assemble the valve by inserting the valve cotter pressing the valve spring with special tool.
After installing the valve, check whether the valve is correctly installed or not tapping it lightly with
urethane hammer.
