      Brandon MillerAug 4, 2025
If your DR Lawn Mower engine is smoking, check the oil level and adjust if needed. Avoid operating the machine on steep inclines. Inspect the Air Filter and clean or replace it. Ensure you're using the correct oil weight for the temperature. Also, clean the Engine cooling fins and carburetor housing if they're dirty.

Why is the recoil on my DR 7.25 ALL-TERRAIN TRIMMER/MOWER Lawn Mower hard to pull?
    • M
      Michelle BurchAug 7, 2025
If the recoil on your DR Lawn Mower is difficult to pull, check the Engine oil level, as the Engine may be seized. There might also be an oil compression lock in the Cylinder; remove the Spark Plug, cover the Spark Plug hole with a rag, and pull the Recoil Cord several times to clear any oil. Wipe off the Spark Plug and reinstall it. Alternatively, the Recoil might be broken or jammed; try turning the Engine by rotating the Trimmer Head with the Spark Plug removed. If it turns, the Recoil is likely broken or jammed.
