If the recoil on your DR Lawn Mower is difficult to pull or won't pull out, start by checking that the Blade Engage/Disengage Switch is pushed DOWN to the Disengaged position. The recoil may be broken or jammed. Try turning the engine pulley by hand with the spark plug wire(s) off. If the pulley turns, the recoil is likely broken or jammed.
