How to start my DR PULSE Lawn Mower if it's not starting?
    • M
      Matthew Miller DDSAug 17, 2025
First, ensure the Safety Key is properly inserted. Next, verify the Battery is correctly installed and fully charged; all four LEDs of the Battery Test Button should illuminate when pressed. If not, replace or recharge the Battery. Also, confirm you're following the correct starting sequence: push the Bail Bar Engage Button first, then pull the Bail Bar to the Handlebar. Finally, the blade may be obstructed. Remove the Safety Key and Battery, turn the DR Lawn Mower over, and ensure the Blade spins freely.

What to do if my DR Lawn Mower stops while mowing?
    • S
      smartinezAug 20, 2025
If your DR Lawn Mower stops while mowing, it could be due to depleted battery power. Try recharging the battery or installing a fully charged one. Another reason may be the Trimmer Head is clogged with debris. Remove the Safety Key and Battery, tilt the Trimmer back onto the Handlebar and clean as needed. Also, if the Trimmer bogs down or stalls in heavy grass, raise the Trimmer Cord height, walk more slowly, or cut a narrower swath. If the grass is wet, let it dry before mowing.

      vyangAug 23, 2025

How to fix a DR PULSE battery that won't charge?
    • H
      Haley HillAug 26, 2025
If the Battery Pack of your DR Lawn Mower will not charge, ensure it's fully inserted into the Charger until the Green LED Light illuminates. Check that the Charger Power Cord is plugged into a working outlet using a lamp or other appliance. Also, verify the outlet isn't controlled by a wall switch. Finally, the surrounding air temperature may be too hot or cold; move the Charger and Battery Pack to a location where the temperature is between 50ºF (10ºC) and +100ºF (+37.8ºC).

Why are the cutting cords breaking on my DR PULSE Lawn Mower?
    • M
      Matthew HesterAug 28, 2025
If the cutting cords of your DR Lawn Mower are breaking, the cords may be too dry. Store cords in a plastic bag with a damp sponge or cloth, or soak them in water for a few days. Also, you may be trying to cut too much too fast. Ease into the material, let the cord tips do the work, and take small bites of tall or tough vegetation. Cut half a swath at a time, keeping the cut area to the discharge or right side of the Trimmer. For tall material, go over it twice: first with the Trimmer Head tilted up and back, then with the Mow-Ball® on the ground. Make sure that you are not hitting the Cords against a stone or a chain-link fence.

Why is my DR Lawn Mower running so slow?
    • S
      sawyerchristopherAug 31, 2025
If your DR Lawn Mower runs slow, the Battery Pack might not have been fully charged before cutting. Charge the Battery Pack, if necessary. Check the Blade for sharpness or damage, and sharpen or replace it as needed. The grass may also be too tall; set the cut height higher if the grass is of reasonable height or mow first with a DR Brush Mower.

Why is my DR Lawn Mower making excessive noise and vibration?
    • J
      Jason DouglasSep 2, 2025
If there is excessive vibration or noise from your DR Lawn Mower, the cords may not be the same length or one is missing. Remove the Safety Key and the Battery; tilt the Trimmer back onto the Handlebar and adjust or replace Cords as needed. Also, the Mow-Ball® or a component in the Drive Belt system may be loose. Remove the Safety Key and Battery, tilt the Trimmer back onto the Handlebar and adjust or replace parts as needed.

Why doesn't my DR PULSE Lawn Mower have much power on first use?
    • B
      Benjamin HerringSep 5, 2025
If your DR Lawn Mower doesn’t have much power when you use it for the first time, you will initially need to charge the Battery Pack before use. The Battery Pack may need to be cycled through a Charge and Discharge 2-3 times to achieve full charge potential.

How to prevent the Mow-Ball® on my DR PULSE Lawn Mower from wearing too quickly?
    • B
      Brian BradySep 8, 2025
If the Mow-Ball® on your DR Lawn Mower is wearing too quickly, you may be pushing the Trimmer Head down into the ground. The DR PULSE TRIMMER/MOWER works best with a light touch, with the Mow-Ball® resting easily on the ground or slightly raised. You may also be hitting the Mow-Ball® against rocks, concrete driveways, or other hard obstacles. Try approaching them slowly, and from different directions, to avoid unnecessary wear.

Why are the cutting cords difficult to install on my DR Lawn Mower?
    • P
      Peter BuchananSep 12, 2025
If the cutting cords are difficult to install on your DR Lawn Mower, a piece of cord or debris may still be lodged in the Quick Lock mechanism. Also, the cord may be too large. Use the recommended DR Power Equipment .095" Cord in the Trimmer.
