What to do if my DR Lawn Mower engine will not start?

First, ensure the Key Switch is in the RUN position and the blade control Bail Bar is NOT in operating position. Check for proper attachment of the Spark Plug wire and ensure the Engine has the right amount of oil. If the gas is old, replace it with fresh, clean, unleaded gas, and consider using a fuel stabilizer if storing gas for more than a month. Also, check that the Air Filter and Spark Plug are clean; replace them if dirty or cracked. If the Spark Plug is oily, remove it, cover the hole with a rag, pull the Recoil Cord to clear oil from the Cylinder, then clean and reinsert the Spark Plug.
