Integrated Infant Scale
NOTE: If the following instructions are not observed significant
weighing errors may occur:
z Before weighing, make sure that both knobs are set to the
scale position .
z During the weighing process, Caleo must not be exposed to
any vibrations.
z During the weighing process, no objects may be placed on
the bed surface.
z During the weighing process, no objects may be placed
between the bed and the housing.
z Circuits routed over the ventilator circuit support arm may
adversely affect weighing accuracy.
The infant scale must be regularly tested with a test weight.
In some regions, the accuracy of the scales specified in the
Technical Data is only attained if the scales are calibrated at
the installation location.
Preparing for weighing
z Set Caleo to the horizontal position. Check with the aid of
the built-in levels – see page 48.
z Remove all objects that touch both the bed and the fixed
environment or the incubator frame.
z Set both knobs to the scale position , see page 45.
z Prepare infant for lifting.
Starting the weighing procedure
1 Press button to start the weighing procedure.
NOTE: If the scale is not ready for operation, this function
cannot be activated.
