Atmen Sie aber nur aus dem Ge-
rät, wenn die Mischgasflasche
vollständig geöffnet ist.
Eine Mißachtung dieser Warnung
wird unweigerlich zu Sauerstoff-
mangel und damit zu schweren
Schäden oder zum Tod führen.
Das Ventil der gefüllten Mischgas-
flasche öffnen. Überprüfen Sie mit
Hilfe des Manometers ob die Fla-
sche geöffnet ist. Wenn die Fla-
sche geöffnet ist, zeigt es Druck
an. Nach dem Schließen der Fla-
sche wird für kurze Zeit ein stetig
fallender Druck angezeigt. Und
zwar solange bis sich der in den
druckführenden Leitungen vor-
handene Druck über die Dosier-
einrichtung abgebaut hat. Fla-
schenventil ganz öffnen (2 Umdre-
hungen) Ventilmundstück in den
Mund nehmen. Eventuell vorhan-
denes Wasser ausblasen und
Drehschieber öffnen (Bild 6.2.1)
Das Überdruckventil sollte auf
minimalen Ansprechdruck einge-
stellt werden (von oben gesehen
links herum bis zum Anschlag dre-
hen). Dadurch wird ein optimaler
Kompromis zwischen sehr guten
Atemwiderständen, Atemzugvolu-
men und Auftrieb des Gerätes
erreicht. Das Überdruckventil soll
nur für Tauchgänge bis max. 20m
Tiefe auf einen höheren Ansprech-
druck eingestellt werden.
Funktionsprüfung
der Richtungsventile
unter Wasser
Um das einwandfreie Funktionie-
ren der Richtungsventile zu über-
prüfen, drücken Sie beide Atem-
schläuche mit der Hand zu. Wenn

Functional test
of directional valves
To check the proper function of
the directional valves in the mouth-
piece, press both breathing hoses
together with your hand. As you
exhale, air must flow through the
exhalation hose, but not through
the inhalation hose. Repeat this
procedure during inhalation.
When inhaling, gas will flow
through the inhalation hose, but
not through the exhalation hose.
Warning !
If you suspect that the directional
valves are defective of improperly
installed, immediately switch to
your bailout system and terminate
the dive. Failure to do so could
lead to serious injury or death.
It is important that you never
allow water to get into the rebrea-
ther system. The easiest way for
water to enter the Dolphin is by
taking the mouthpiece out of your
mouth without first shutting the
closure valve. That is why you
must never take the mouthpiece
out of your mouth without first
closing the mouthpiece valve.
