den muß. Vergewissern Sie sich,
daß alle Teile des Jackets fest an-
gebracht sind. Für die internatio-
nale Version (schwarz) gilt dieses
nur, wenn Sie die Tarierblase als
Zubehör erworben haben.
Schließen Sie den Inflator-
schlauch an den Inflator an und
überprüfen Sie diesen, indem Sie
das Jacket aufblasen, bis die Ab-
laßventile /Überdruckventile an-
sprechen. Überprüfen Sie das
Auslaßventil, indem Sie an der
Reißleine ziehen. Zuletzt überprü-
fen Sie bitte Ihr Jacket und Ihre
Gurte auf eventuelle Schnittschä-
den, abgenutzte Nähte und ande-
re Schäden. Füllen Sie eine even-
tuelle Notflasche vor jedem Tauch-
gang auf.
Die Druckluftflasche ist aus-
schließlich mit Atemluft gemäß
(DIN 3188) EN 132 zu befüllen.
Achten Sie darauf, daß der Blei-
gurt über allen anderen Gurten
sitzt, und daß die Schnellabwurf-
schnalle des Gurtes ungehindert
zugänglich ist.
6.2. Tauchen
Gerät anlegen. Das Gerät wird auf
dem Rücken getragen.
Sobald die Mischgasflasche ge-
öffnet ist strömt Gas in den Atem-
kreislauf. Achten Sie darauf, die
Flasche solange geschlossen zu
halten, bis Sie den Tauchgang
wirklich beginnen.
Atmen Sie an der Oberfläche
möglichst wenig aus dem Gerät.
Nach dem Tauchgang ist die Fla-
sche sofort nach Verlassen des
Wassers zu schließen. Sonst
droht Gasverlust!
6.2. Diving the Dolphin
Don diving gear. The unit is car-
ried on the back.
Right before you enter the water,
turn the nitrox cylinder open and
place the mouthpiece in your
mouth, making sure the on/off val-
ve is open. Do not open the nitrox
cylinder valve until you are ready
to begin diving as gas will
continuously flow into the
breathing circuit, whether or not
you are breathing. Remember,
also, to turn the cylinder off imme-
diately upon leaving the water, as
the cylinder will empty itself other-
wise.
Danger !
Make certain that the mixed gas
cylinder valve is turned on shortly
before you enter the water.
Failure to do so will almost cer-
tainly lead to unconsciousness
and drowning as the gas mixture
becomes increasingly low in oxy-
gen.
To make sure that the cylinder
valve is open, look at the submer-
sible gauge. If open, a constant
pressure value is displayed. After
shutting of the cylinder valve, you
will note that the pressure gauge
needle will slowly go down until it
reaches zero as the breathing gas
is lost through the flow meter.
After opening the cylinder, close
it and watch the needle swing to
zero.
After the needle reaches zero,
open the cylinder valve fully once
more, which should take about
two turns. Then, take the mouth-
piece valve into your mouth and
blow out any water and push the
valve lever to the open position
(Figure 6.2.1).
