marketcomplieswithallapplicableessentialsafetyrequirements.
WiththeDeclarationofConformityprovidedinthissection,wedeclarethattheproductcomplieswiththeapplicableessentialsafety
requirementsfromthedirectivesandstandards.
What does the CE- and ECE- mark signify?
a)CE-markingandECEtypeapprovalcertifiestheconformitywithallobligationsthatneedtobemetbythe
manufacturerinrelationtotheproductoncommunitydirectivescontainingprovisionsrelatingtoCEandECE
marking.
b)TheCEandECEmarkappliedtoindustrialproductssignifiesthatthenaturalorlegalpersonwhoappliesthemark
orhasthemarkapplied,hasensuredthattheproductmeetsallCommunitydirectivesoncompleteharmonization
andhasbeensubjectedtoalltheconformityassessmentproceduresdemandedbytheregulations.

Electricalandelectronicequipment(EEE)containsmaterials,componentsandsubstancesthatcouldbedangerous
or detrimentalto human health and theenvironment if waste electrical andelectronic equipment (WEEE) is not
disposedofcorrectly.
