of

stylus
tip.

Changing
the
pick-up
cartridge
To
remove
the
complete
pick-up
cartridge
disengage
the
tonearm
and
hold
in
position
with
the
left
hand.
Take
pick-up
cartridge
between
thumb
and
forefinger
of
the
right
hand
and
with
the
thumb
of
the
left
hand
push
the
catch
on
the
tonearm
head
to
the
rear
(Fig.
2).
The
pick-up
cartridge
is
released
from
the
mounting
plate
by
pressing
downwards
to
the
rear
(Fig.
3).
Mounting
the
pick-up
cartridge
To
insert
in
the
mounting
plate
grip
pick-up
cartridge
between
thumb
and
forefinger
of
the
right
hand
and
place
the
guide
bar
on
the
pick-up
cartridge
in
the
wide
recess
in
the
mounting
plate
provided
for
the
purpose.
With
the
pick-up
cartridge
in
this
position
push
gently
upwards
to
the
rear
until
enga-
gement
takes
place
(Fig.
3).

Insert
complete
pick-up
cartridge
upwards
in
the
pick-up
head
with
the
contact
pins
towards
the
tonearm
tube
and
press
upwards
at
the
front.
The
tonearm
should
be
held
firmly
in
position
this
is
done.
Changing
the
stylus
After
having
removed
the
pick-up
cartridge,
turn
the
needle
bearing
by
90°
as
shown
in
fig.
4.
Now
the
needle
can
be
changed
quite
easily.
Insert
the
needle
in
the
same
position
and
make
sure
that
the
needle holder
is
pro-
perly
seated
in
the
cut-outs
of
the
cartridge.
Stylus
The
stylus
is
subject
to
wear
during
use.
We
recommend
that
the
sapphire
stylus
should
be
checked
after
playing
about
30
hours
and
a
diamond
stylus
should
be
checked
after
playing
about
300
hours.
Your
authori-
zed
dealer
will
be
glad
to
check
your
styius
free
of
charge.
A
worn
out
or
damaged
stylus
chisels
the
modulations
in
the
grooves
and
damages
the
record.
Replace
the
worn
out
stylus
with
one
that
exactly
meets
the
cartridge’s
speci-
fications,
Imitations
will
result
in
a
loss
in
sound
quality
and
will
increase
the
damage
to
your
records,
Please
notice
that
the
stylus
carrier
with
a
sapphire
or
diamond
stylus,
due
to
size,
is
very
sensitive
to
shocks,
vibrations
or
sudden
impacts.
To
have
your
stylus
changed
take
the
complete
cartridge
(with
stylus)
and
have
it
done
by
your
nearest
authorized
dealer.
