If the shock shaft is scratched,
it will prematurely wear the shock
shaft O-rings, causing leaks.
Make sure not to thread the shock
shaft ball end (110) too far onto
the shock shaft.
Completely fill the shock body (101)
with shock oil. Slowly work the piston
up and down to remove air bubbles.
Do not push the piston out of the
shock oil. Slowly tighten the shock
cap (97) onto the shock body (101)
to allow the remaining air to escape
through the bleed hole in the cap.
Apply a generous amount of
shock oil to the shock shaft
assembly before installing into
the O-ring assembly.
Apply a small amount of shock oil
to the O-rings before installing them
into the shock body, being careful
not to damage the O-ring. Make sure
the O-rings are completely seated in
the shock body.
