Network Selection

screen.
RS-422/485 Network
The RS-422/485 network is a full duplex network. Up to 32 units can be connected to a single
network line. The unit pin-out for the RS-422/485 network is shown below:

In addition to the pins for the RS-422/485 communications, two pins (7 and 8) are reserved for a dry
contact connection. In normal operation, the dry contact pins are closed. During an alarm condition,
the dry contacts are open. Alarm conditions that will activate the dry contact pins are described in
section 3.3.4.
