- Do not store or use gasoline or other ammable vapors and Iiquids in vicinity of this or
any other appliance.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Do not try to light any appliance.
• Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s
instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the re department.
- Installation and service must be performed by a qualied installer, service agency or the
gas supplier.
This is an unvented gas-red heater. It uses air (oxygen) from the room in which it is
installed. Provisions for adequate combustion and ventilation air must be provided.
Refer to Air For Combustion and Ventilation section on page 8 of this manual.
This appliance may be installed in an aftermarket, permanently located, manufactured (mobile)
home, where not prohibited by local codes.
This appliance is only for use with the type of gas indicated on the rating plate.
This appliance is not convertible for use with other gases.

      A whistling noise from your Dyna-Glo heater when the burner is lit may be due to: * Turning the control knob to the high position when the burner is cold. Turn the control knob to the low position and let it warm up for a minute. * Air in the gas line. Operate the burner until the air is removed from the line. * Blocked air passageways on the heater. Observe minimum installation clearances. * A dirty or partially clogged burner orifice. Clean the burner.

      Your Dyna-Glo heater may produce unwanted odors if: * It is burning vapors from paint, hair spray, glues, etc. Ventilate the room and stop using odor-causing products while the heater is running. * There is a gas leak. Locate and correct all leaks. * There is a low fuel supply. Refill the supply tank (Propane /LP models).

      If the burner(s) on your Dyna-Glo heater do not light after the ODS/pilot is lit: * Turn the thermostat knob to a higher setting if the thermostat setting is too low. * If the burner orifice is clogged, clean the burner orifice.

      If your Dyna-Glo heater shuts off while in use, and the ODS is operating, it could be due to: * Insufficient fresh air; open a window or door for ventilation. * Low line pressure; contact your local gas supplier. * A partially clogged ODS/pilot; clean the ODS/pilot.

      If there is no spark at the ODS/pilot when the ignitor is pressed on your Dyna-Glo heater, consider the following: * The ignitor electrode may be positioned wrong or broken, in which case, replace the ODS. * The ignitor electrode may not be connected to the ignitor cable; replace the ignitor cable. * The ignitor cable may be pinched or wet; free the ignitor cable if pinched and keep it dry. * If the ignitor cable is damaged, replace it. * The ignitor or ignition module may be bad; replace the ignitor or ignition module. * Replace the battery if it’s bad.

    Why does the Dyna-Glo Heater ODS/pilot light go out when I release the control knob?

      If the ODS/pilot light of your Dyna-Glo heater goes out when you release the control knob, it could be due to several reasons: * Ensure the control knob is fully pressed in. * After the ODS/pilot lights, keep the control knob pressed in for 30-60 seconds. * Make sure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. * Check if the thermocouple connection is loose and hand tighten it until snug, then tighten ¼ turn more. * The thermocouple may be damaged and need replacement. * Inlet gas pressure may be too high; in this case, contact your gas supplier to check and adjust the inlet pressure.
