What to do if Dyna-Glo Heater pilot light goes out after releasing the control knob?
    • C
      Curtis Jackson IIIAug 17, 2025
If the pilot light goes out when you release the control knob on your Dyna-Glo Heater, ensure you keep the control knob pressed for about 30 seconds after the pilot lights. If that doesn't work, wait one minute and try the ignition operation again. Other possible causes include a pilot flame not touching the thermocouple, a damaged thermocouple, a loose thermocouple connection, or a damaged gas control valve. In the first case it is recommended to Contact your gas company, gas supplier or qualified service technician. If the thermocouple is damaged or the connection is loose, consider replacing the thermocouple or hand tighten until snug then tighten 1/4 turn with a wrench. If the gas control valve is damaged, consider replacing the gas control.
