MI Internal settings
1.
Talk Over control channel
The Talk Over circuit in the master section can be triggered by either of the 3
MIC input channels.
The position of the coding jumper
J1 on the 3-pole plug connectoron the pcb "MIC INPUT 81289" determines the
channel triggering the Talk Over circuit (adjacent bus connector
CN1). This channel has no influence on the Talk
Over circuit, if the jumper is plugged to the two pins on the right of plug connector
J1.
Factory preset: MIC 1 controls the Talk Over circuit (code jumper left)
NB: Also some MIC channels can trigger the Talk Over circuit.
2.
MIC Channels should
be
used as music channels:
The
MIC and music channels feed their signals to different master buses. Therefore the ding of the MIC output
signal must be changed to the music bus.
The two jumpers on the 2-pole plug connectors J3 to J5 at the pcb MIC INPUT 81 289 (near bus
connectorCN1)
serve this purpose.
If the coding jumpers are plugged at the plug connectors J2 and J4, the channel signal is fed to the MIC bus (factory
preset).
If the coding jumpers are plugged at the plug connectors J3 and J5, the channel signal is fed to the music bus
(if used as LlNE channel).
3. Alteration of the PHONO channels to LlNE channels
The LlNE input at the cinch sockets
JS1 can be altered via the code jumpers at the 3-pole plug connectors J1 and
J2 at the LlNE input pcbs 8131
1/81312/81313/81290/81291/81293
(behind the cinch sockets JS1) from PHONO
to LlNE sensitivity (or vice versa from LlNE to PHONO sensitivity).
If the code jumpers are plugged in position
"*",
this input has PHONO sensitivity.

Alteration of the characteristics of the level meter (offset setting)
The characteristics of the
bargraph level meter can be altered from Average to Peak.
Factory preset: Average
Average:
The indication tracks the averaged acoustic impression. Short peaks are not
indicated properly.
Peak: The indication tracks the actual peak value very fast and shows the value for a short time,
in order to give the eye time to read. Level drops during this storage time are not indicated.
Very short overdrive levels are indicated with this characteristics and can be thus avoided.
The following code jumpers must be altered at the 3-pole plug connectors:
