1. Shims
Place shims (1) so that the scraper teeth are positioned
symmetrically between the pads.
Remember that the rubber elements are pre-
tensioned; use only enough shims to leave an
air gap of about 5 mm (3/16") between the
scraper and the drum frame, before the
scraper bolts are tightened.
FITTING

Fit the PD scraper 34 39 60 (item 2 in drawing
38 53 45). Weight about 220 kg (490 lbs).
Keep well clear of the hoisted object.
Ensure that hoisting hooks are securely
anchored.
Fit the teeth on the PD scraper.
