f you have any doubts regarding your ability to

afely perform the following test be sure to have

he charger repaired by a trained electrician or
t
echnician.

se extreme care not to permit the uninsulated
p
ortion of test leads to contact any other
c
omponent or the chassis of the charger.
NOTE
B
ypass the relay by attaching a test lead to both
w
ires at the printed circuit board mounted relay.
T
his will permit the transformer to function
i
ndependently of the relay.
P
lugging the charger into an AC receptacle may
r
esult in the transformer humming which indicates
t
hat the primary winding is functioning, but the
p
rinted circuit board has failed. If the transformer
d
oes not hum the transformer has failed.
