ment. In this arrangement, the element is at-
tached to a spider which is typically mounted
onthe
driving shaft. The drum is attached to a
drum hub which is typically mounted on the
driven shaft. The gap between the two shafts
allows the element and drum to be removed
without disturbing either shaft.
