If your Eccotemp Water Heater's water isn't getting hot, start by ensuring the power supply is on and working correctly. If the indicator light isn't on, try pushing the reset button. If the light is on but the water remains cold, check for a plumbing crossover by shutting off the cold water supply to the heater and opening the hot water tap; continuous flow indicates a crossover that needs fixing. If no crossover is present, consider replacing the heating element.
