KICK GUARD
TM
TO BAR
INSTRUCTIONS
Tools Needed: Two 3/8 in. or 11 mm (7/16 in.)
Wrenches.
For saws with Kick Guard
TM
P/N 2894902 and
Symmetrical Low-Kick type guide bars.
1a. Install 8-32 bolt in small hole of Kick Guard
TM
and through small hole in guide bar.
1b. Install 1/4-27 bolt in large rear hole of Kick
Guard
TM
and through large front hole in guide
bar.
2. IMPORTANT: Dimple in Kick Guard
TM
(A) must
engage recess in guide bar (B).
3. Tighten nut (C) and bolt by hand until snug.
Make certain Kick Guard
TM
is flush against
guide bar.
4. Tighten nut additional 1/2 turn.
5. Check to make certain Kick Guard
TM
is tight on
guide bar.
GUIDE BAR AND SAW CHAIN
INSTALLATION/REMOVAL
NOTICE
Move the chain brake lever (Front hand guard)
fully rearward to remove or install the clutch
cover to chain saw.
Align the brake connector of the clutch cover to
the groove on the side of the brake lever (Front
hand guard).
1. Remove spark plug lead. (See page 26)
2. Remove the clutch cover nuts and remove clutch
cover.
3. Remove bar and saw chain if necessary. See
“Maintenance and Care” section for guide bar /
saw chain maintenance procedures.

Two nuts
Brake connector
