Why is my Echo CS-7310P Chainsaw engine hard to start?
    • T
      Teresa VelazquezJul 30, 2025
If your Echo Chainsaw engine is hard to start or doesn't start at all, there could be several reasons. First, the fuel strainer or fuel line might be obstructed, in which case you should clean or replace them. Another possibility is that the fuel mixture is too rich; try opening the choke, cleaning or replacing the air filter, or adjusting the carburetor. Also, ensure the STOP switch is in the ON position. Finally, check the spark plug for incorrect gap, carbon buildup, fuel fouling, or defects; adjust the gap to 0.4 - 0.5 mm (0.016 - 0.02 in.), or clean/replace the plug.
