Why won't my Echo EG-10000 engine start?

  If your Echo Portable Generator engine won't start, first ensure the engine switch is in the 'Choke' position. If that's not the issue, check the fuel tank and fill it if empty, being careful not to overfill. Also, make sure the generator isn't connected to any appliances during startup; if it is, disconnect them. Inspect the spark plug for a loose cap and push it back into place if needed. Clean the spark plug electrode if it appears contaminated. Finally, verify the engine oil level and add oil if it's low, following the instructions.

  If your Echo Portable Generator has no output, check if the DC circuit breaker is turned off and, if so, depress or flip the circuit breaker to the 'ON' position. Also, inspect the AC receptacle and DC terminals for loose connections, securing them if necessary. Finally, ensure that you didn't attempt to start the engine with appliances already connected; if you did, turn off the appliance switch, disconnect the cable, and reconnect it after the generator starts properly.
