ASSEMBLING
SHIELD
• Install shield to bearing housing as shown.
• Fit and tighten screw to secure shield on
bearing housing.
CAUTION
Do not operate trimmer without shield in
correct position.
CAUTION
Stop engine before handling cutter head.

CUT-OFF KNIFE
CUT-OFF KNIFE
• Fit the cut-off knife securely in position as
illustrated.
NOTE
Knife will normally cut the nylon line to the
required length.
LOOP-HANDLE
• Remove wing nut and bolt from loop handle.
• Push handle over drive shaft housing
approximately 150 - 200 mm from grip.
• Adjust location of handle to a convenient
operating position.
Secure in position with bolt and wing nut.
NYLON LINE CUTTER HEAD
• Rotate drive shaft until holes in fixing plate
and in bearing housing are aligned.
• Insert locking tool through these holes.
• Install cutter head to drive shaft rotating
clockwise viewed from site of arrow (A).
• Remove locking tool.
