Why does my Echo Blower engine crank but not start?
- RRobert BrownJul 26, 2025
If your Echo Blower engine cranks but struggles to start or doesn't start at all, several factors could be at play: * The fuel strainer or fuel line might be clogged, requiring cleaning or replacement. * A fuel mixture that's too rich can be resolved by opening the choke. * A dirty air filter due to normal wear should be cleaned or replaced. * Ensure the switch is turned ON to provide spark. * The spark plug could be defective, covered with carbon, or fouled with fuel, necessitating cleaning, replacement, or adjustment to a .65mm (0.026in.) gap. For carburetor issues, a stops switch malfunction, electrical problems, or interlock switch difficulties, it's recommended to consult your Echo dealer.
