TROUBLESHOOTING PUMP END
No water delivered or not
enough water delivered
•Pump not primed •Fill pump body with water.
•Speed too low
•Pump should operate at 5600-6300 rpm.
•Clean suction opening.
•Suction line clogged •Locate pump closer to water.
•Suction lift too high
•Tighten connections or replace with new
hose or pipe.
•Air leak in suction line Use pipe compund to seal threads.
•Impeller plugged. •Clean impeller.
•Suction end not submerged deep
enough.
•Submerge suction hose or piping enough
so no air enters while pump is operating.
Not enough pressure
•Speed too low. •Engine should operate at 5600-6300 rpm.
•Worn impeller. •Replace impeller.
Pumps water, then stops

•Suction lift too high. •Locate pump nearer water.
•Pump clogs with debris. •Clean pump and impeller.
•Suction strainer clogs. •Clean strainer.
•Pump seal worn. •Replace seal. (ECHO Dealer)
Pumps water, then stops
•Foreign matter settled or solidified
inside the pump.
•Remove pump casing and clean the pump
•Impeller is clogged by solid debris.
