10.1.1 Error messages
E-01: “Setup and Cal.-Data lost“
1
Setup and calibration data stored in RAM has been lost. This error mes-
sage appears when the RAM back up battery is exhausted (the life expec-
tancy of battery is about 10 years). Then battery needs to be replaced by
a service technician.
(Remark: E-01 is rarely caused by other problems.)
E-02: “Vacuum Fail (Reactor-Pressure)“
1
Error message, if reaction chamber pressure >60 mbar.
Greatly varying pressure indications during the test mode or a pressure
between 60 and 255 mbar signifies a defective gas flow system or pump.
If there is no fault on pump and gas flow system a faulty pressure sensor
circuit board (PREST; BYCO) is suggested. A service call is needed.
E-04: “Inlet pressure O3 too low“
1
(only applies to Option 1 or 2)
The ozone generator inlet pressure is below 650 mbar.
This error usually occurs when the instrument is switched on again after
the vacuum pump has been left running with the power off to flush out the
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance with the covers removed, the
mains power connector MUST be unplugged from the instrument. Re-
pairs and adjustments, which must of necessity be made with the in-
strument powered-up, may only be performed by trained personnel
who are aware of the dangers involved.
Caution: After replacement the analyzer is reset to the manufacturer’s
defaults.
