CLD 780 TR / July 2000 30
pressure of the O
2
supply through the tubing [6] to the analyzer’s O
2
inlet [5] remains at atmospheric.
Hint: A 40 l O
2
gas cylinder with a fill pressure of 200 bar lasts for ap-
prox. 14 days continuous operation.
4. Connect the vacuum outlet [7] to a suitable pump and, if required, an
ozone scrubber. (The provision and operation of the vacuum pump
[24], ozone scrubber [22] and vacuum tubing [8] are the responsibili-
ty of the operator).
Caution: For all tubings in contact with oxygen, use only inert materi-
als such as fluorocarbons (PTFE or PFA), glass or stainless steel.
Caution: If the ozone generator is operated with air instead of O
2
, the
dry air supply must be connected to the oxygen inlet [7] in Fig. 4.2.
Important: The vacuum connector and the tubing to the vacuum pump
must be totally opaque. If light enters the instrument through the vac-
uum inlet the measured values will be incorrect and in the worst case
the photomultiplier may suffer damage.
