E C O P H Y S I C S Operating Guide
CLD 780 TR / July 2000 44
The current value of
λ
NO
may be displayed (window (58)) or requested via
the RS 232 interface at any time.
In “Continuous measurement mode“, the following windows may be se-
lected:
1. “Cal. times“ (6)
2. “AICI“ (7)
3. “Filters“ (8)
4. “Recorder“ (12)
5. “Signal“ (13)
“Continuous“ measurement begins when the MEAS key is pressed.
“CONT“ is then displayed in the upper right hand corner of window (1).
(6) “Cal. times“ window:
Selection of the integration interval and calibration data filter.
1. “Int.-Time for Cal. & AICI“: To set the integration time for calibration
measurements and determination of the interference coefficient. Al-
lowed values 3 to 120 secs.
2. “Cal Slidefilter-Time“: To set the width of the calibration slide filter win-
dow in “CONT“ mode. A sliding average is generated with a window
width from 1 to 120 secs. The width should be set to a multiple of the
AIC interval, T
AICI
, since new data is available only once per interval.
Press MEAS or MENU to exit this level.
Caution:
If the interference coefficient determination is made too infrequently,
and in the meantime the relative proportions of NO and the interfer-
ences change, this will affect the quality of the measurement data.
Caution:
Whenever a parameter allows e.g. 4 digits to be entered as a select-
able value, any number from 0 to 9999 can be entered, even mean-
ingless values! However, values outside a predetermined range are
rejected. This rejection is made evident when the “YES“ key is pressed
to enter the value - an acoustic signal is heard and the previous value
will still be shown, not the new one. All entered values must be con-
firmed by pressing the “YES“ key before continuing e.g. to “MEAS“
mode with the “MEAS“ key.
