E C O P H Y S I C S Operating Guide
CLD 780 TR / July 2000 50
5.2.2.3 (18) “Test“-window
The test menu is activated by pushing TEST. “TEST“ appears in the upper
right hand corner of the display. The following windows are then accessi-
ble:
“Counts“ (19)
“Recorder“ (20)
“Devices“ (21)
“Pressure“ (22)
“Temperature“ (23)
To return select “MEAS“ or “MENU“.
(19) “Counts“-window
Allows the user to check the optical detection system and the stability of
the calibration gases.
In the left half of the display the raw signal of the component selected un-
der “Chan“ is displayed. The raw signal (in counts) corresponds to the
output signal of the PMT pre-amplifier.
1. “Chan“: The following components can be displayed:
“All“: NO, NO.c and zero point (in counts)
“Zero“: zero point only
“NO“: NO only
“NO.c“: NO.c only
2. “Int [s]“: The integration time can be selected from 0.1 to 999.0 sec.
The displayed values are nevertheless shown in counts/sec., e.g. 10
sec. are chosen for an integration time; the total counts over 10 sec. is
always divided by 10 sec. to express counts/sec.
Caution: Do not interpret these PMT count values as concentration
values in ppb!
Caution: All displays in counts are normalized with a signal integra-
tion time of 1 sec.
