E C O P H Y S I C S Operating Guide
CLD 780 TR / July 2000 53
5.2.2.4 (24) “Range“-window
Allows the user to select the desired measuring range and integration in-
terval. Activate with the “RANGE“ key. “RNGE“ is shown in upper right
hand corner of the display .
1. “Range“: The CLD 780 TR analyzer is designed in such a way that the
choice of measurement range has no effect on the detection limit. The
sensitivity is the same for all available ranges and is solely dependent
on the integration interval. The range selection is only provided for the
convenience of users analog output devices (chart recorders, external
integrators etc.) The following ranges are available:
Meas. Range Display up to Format
[ppb] [ppb]
0 - 5 9 5.000
0 - 10 99 10.00
0 - 50 99 50.00
0 - 100 999 100.0
0 - 500 999 500.0
2. “Integration Interval“: To determine the measurement value in ppb the
current impulses from the PMT are counted and integrated over time.
The sensitivity of the analyzer and therefore also the lower detectable
limit depends primarily on the integration time, or in other words on
the length of the integration interval. This interval is selectable within
the range of 0.1 to 999 sec.
Use “MEAS“ to return.
