How to fix ECS Motherboard when system does not power up and the fans are not running?
    • E
      Emily PorterAug 2, 2025
If your ECS Motherboard doesn't power up and the fans aren't running, try these steps: First, disassemble the PC, removing unnecessary components like the VGA card, memory, LAN, USB devices, keyboard, and mouse. Leave only the motherboard, CPU with cooler, and power supply connected. Ensure the power cord is plugged into the wall and the PSU switch is turned on. Next, make sure there are no loose screws or metal objects inside the PC case to prevent short circuits. Check that the CPU fan connector and the 12V power connector are properly connected to the motherboard. Also, ensure the 12V power and ATX connectors are fully inserted and latched into place.

What to do if power is on, fans are running but there is no display on ECS A68M-C4DL?

If your ECS Motherboard has power and the fans are running, but there's no display, start by ensuring your monitor is on and properly connected to the PC. Check that the VGA adapter card (if you're using one) is correctly inserted. Listen for beep sounds, and if you're using an internal PC speaker, make sure it's connected. Continuous 3 short beeps indicate that the memory is not detected. 1 long beep and 8 short beeps means that the VGA is not detected.

Why does my ECS Motherboard suddenly shuts down while booting up?
    • M
      Michael OsborneAug 17, 2025
If your ECS Motherboard suddenly shuts down while booting up, it might be due to CPU overheating. Apply thermal grease to the CPU heatsink and ensure the CPU fan is securely connected to the heatsink. Also, check that the CPU fan is working correctly while the system is running. You can also try disabling the Smartfan function in the BIOS settings to allow the fan to run at its default speed. Loading Optimized Defaults will also disable Smartfan.

How to troubleshoot start up problems after prolong use of ECS A68M-C4DL Motherboard?
    • B
      Brianna WrightAug 25, 2025
If you're experiencing startup problems with your ECS Motherboard after prolonged use, try clearing the CMOS values using the CLR_CMOS jumper. When that's done, load optimized defaults in the BIOS setup. Check the CPU cooler fan for dust, as accumulated dust reduces its cooling effectiveness; clean or replace it if needed. Ensure the 12V power and ATX connectors are fully inserted and latched into place. Try removing the hard drive, optical drive, or DDR memory to identify if any of these components are causing the issue. Inspect for any bulged electrolytic capacitors or abnormal components.
