The device or power
supply is not grounded.
Ground the device or the power
supply.
The patient is nervous or
the position is wrong,
and the actual EMG
signal is higher.
Guide the patient to relax and adjust
the position.
The electrodes are not
provided by EDAN. The
contact of the electrode
connector is so poor that
leads to the change of
skin impedance.
Use electrodes provided by EADN or
electrodes that are suitable.
There’s high-power
equipment that

1. The electrodes have
been used for too many
times and are dirty. The
adhesion is poor, and
polarization occurs.
2. Patient’s skin is dry
and cracked, and there’s
so much scurf or hair on
the skin that would lead
to increase of skin
impedance.
Wipe the attached position and the
surface of the electrodes with normal
saline, or replace the electrodes.
The electrodes are not
provided by EDAN. The
contact of the electrode
connector is so poor that
leads to the change of
skin impedance.
Use electrodes provided by EADN or
electrodes that are suitable.
Pelvic channel
disconnected
Vagina sensor or rectum
sensor is very loose and
the contact between the
sensor and the vagina
/rectum is poor.
Adjust the sensor in the vagina or
rectum. Guide the patient to tighten the
vagina or rectum and then check
whether the prompt of falling off is
closed.
