EdgeStar Portable Ice Maker 8
Ensure that you thoroughly clean each attached and detachable
part so your ice maker will be fully clean and ready for use.
Water Pipe: The water pipe is
detachable, so you can remove
it, clean with soap, and run
clean, warm water through the
pipe.
Stainless Steel Casing:
Clean the outside of the ice
maker with a mild detergent
and warm water. Do not put ice
maker in the dishwasher, as it
is not dishwasher-safe.
Evaporator: The evaporator
CANNOT be removed, but it
can be cleaned with normal
maintenance and wiping down
with a cloth.
Interior: To clean the inside of
the ice maker, you can run the
ice making procedure a few
times with a mild detergent
(such as water mixed with
lemon juice or white vinegar)
and discard the ice.
