Adjust the position of the travel router, or move closer to a known wireless access point. If the SSID of the access point you wish to connect to is hidden (nothing displayed in the “SSID” field in the “Site Survey” function), then you need to input the SSID manually, ensuring that you input the correct SSID.

      If your web browser doesn’t automatically redirect to the browser-based configuration interface, ensure that the router is powered on correctly. If you recently rebooted the device, remember that the router will be unresponsive for up to 1.5 minutes after a reboot. Try the following URLs: http://edimax.go, http://edimax.setup, or http://192.168.8.1. Remember to include http:// in the URL. Ensure that your wireless client is connected to the travel router’s SSID. Try using an alternative web browser.

      It is normal for the travel router to heat up during frequent use. If you can safely place your hand on the travel router, the temperature of the device is at a normal level. If you smell burning or see smoke coming from travel router or A/C power adapter, then disconnect the travel router and A/C power adapter immediately, as far as it is safely possible to do so. Call your dealer of purchase for help.

      Connection information will only be saved to the “Access Keeper” when using iQ Setup. Manual configurations made using the browser based configuration interface will not be saved in the “Access Keeper”.

    Why “Access Keeper” has deleted my connection information on Edimax BR-6258nL Wireless Router?

      “Access Keeper” can only store 10 sets of connection information. When 10 sets have been saved, any additional connections will replace the 1st, and then the 2nd (and so on) stored sets of information. If you wish to keep a particular set of settings, please delete any other stored sets of information which are not used frequently, so that the “Access Keeper” has enough available space to save new connections.
