5.8 Shut-down
We recommend, as described in the following procedure, decontaminang the oil
before shung down the pump; this will prevent damage to the pump by the
contaminates in the oil.
1.
Refer to To decontaminate the oil on page 38 and decontaminate the oil, as
required.
2. Close the vacuum system isolaon-valve (if not already closed).
3.
Close gas-ballast (set the gas-ballast control to posion ‘0’).
4.
On single-phase pumps, use the on/o switch to switch o the pump.
5.
Switch o the electrical supply to the pump.
