Removing and replacing components
Before you decide to replace costly components, verify the connections between the
print engine and the Fiery X3eTY. Also, verify the connections of each replaceable
Fiery X3eTY component. For more information about troubleshooting, see page 51.
The following sections describe how to remove and install removable/replaceable parts on
the Fiery X3eTY:
•Interface board
• DIMMs
• BIOS chip
•Battery
• CPU and CPU cooling assembly
•Enclosed fans
•Power supply
•Hard disk drive (HDD)
For information about replacing other components, see the print engine manufacturer’s
documentation.
CAUTION: Make sure to use an ESD grounding wrist strap and follow standard ESD
precautions while performing these procedures.
