  If your EGO Trimmer won't start, there are a few things to check. Make sure the battery pack is properly attached to the trimmer. Check the electrical contacts between the trimmer and the battery. If there is no electrical contact, remove the battery, check the contacts and reinstall the battery pack. Also, ensure the battery pack is charged. If the battery pack or the trimmer is too hot, allow them to cool down. Confirm that you are pressing both the front and rear switch levers simultaneously after pressing the lock-off button. Lastly, inspect the blade for any obstructions. If there is, remove the battery pack from the tool, remove the obstruction carefully, then reinsert the battery and restart the tool.
