      If your EGO Trimmer isn't working, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the battery pack is properly attached. If it is, remove the battery, inspect the contacts, and then re-install it to ensure good electrical contact. A depleted battery can also be the culprit, so ensure it is fully charged. Overheating can also cause issues; remove the battery and allow both the trimmer and battery to cool down if they are too hot (above 152°F or 67°C). Finally, make sure you're pressing both the front and rear switch levers simultaneously after pressing the lock-off button. If the blade is jammed, remove the battery, carefully clear any obstructions, and then reinsert the battery before restarting.

Also, check for bent or damaged teeth on the blade, which would also necessitate blade replacement. Lastly, ensure that all blade bolts are properly tightened using a 1/8" (3mm) hex wrench, turning clockwise to tighten.
