How to troubleshoot starting issues with my EGO ST1500F?
    • S
      sarah35Aug 3, 2025
If your EGO Trimmer fails to start, there are several potential causes. First, make sure the battery pack is correctly attached to the trimmer. If it is, remove the battery and check for any obstructions or issues with the contacts before reinstalling it. A depleted battery pack is a common reason; ensure it's adequately charged. Finally, the trimmer requires simultaneous depression of the lock-off lever and the trigger to start. Press the lock-off lever, hold it, and then depress the trigger.

What to do if the EGO ST1500F Trimmer head won't advance line?
    • D
      Dalton LuceroAug 9, 2025
If the trimmer head on your EGO Trimmer won't advance the line, start by stopping the trimmer, removing the battery, and cleaning any grass or debris from the motor shaft and trimmer head. If that doesn't work, the spool may be low on line, necessitating a replacement. Also, a dirty trimmer head can cause issues, so clean the spool, spool retainer, and spool base. If the line is tangled on the spool, remove the battery, take the line off the spool, and rewind it. Lastly, if the line is too short, remove the battery and manually pull the lines while alternately pressing down and releasing the trimmer head.

To prevent grass from wrapping around the trimmer head and motor housing of your EGO Trimmer, avoid cutting tall grass at ground level. Instead, cut from the top down, removing no more than 8 inches in each pass.

Why is the blade on my EGO Trimmer not cutting the line?
    • S
      Sandra LoweAug 27, 2025
If the line-cutting blade on your EGO Trimmer isn't cutting the line effectively, it's likely that the blade on the edge of the guard has become dull. Sharpen the blade with a file or replace it with a new one.

Why does my EGO Trimmer keep stopping while I'm cutting?
    • M
      Mary ConnerNov 14, 2025
If your EGO Trimmer stops while cutting, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the guard is properly mounted to prevent an overly long cutting line that overloads the motor. If it is mounted, verify that you're using the recommended nylon cutting line with a diameter no greater than 0.095 inches (2.4 mm). Grass缠绕around the motor shaft or trimmer head can also cause this issue; if so, stop the trimmer, remove the battery, and clear away the grass. Motor overload can also cause the tool to stop. Remove the trimmer head from the grass, and it should recover. Move the trimmer head in and out of the grass, removing no more than 8 inches per pass. Overheating of the battery pack or trimmer can also cause it to stop; allow them to cool below 152°F (67°C). Finally, ensure the battery pac...
